Kismet

Jody and Dave from Spokane. As I stepped into this bar and grill off of Exit 40 of I-90, they asked me if I was the cyclist they saw as they were coming over the Fourth of July Pass. I said yes, and that they probably saw me taking pictures of myself and the elevation sign. They asked where I was headed. I told them Boston. With that they both got really excited. Jody patted the seat and asked me to eat with them. It turns out they're both avid cyclists. They've done a lot of riding around Washington, and spent part of last summer cycling though Italy. Jody gave me some good info about riding into Montana, and after a good meal and talk they insisted on paying for my meal. Good, good people. Watch for them on the road- Washington plates, ''GONBIKN''.

Tim, Tried to respond last night but couldn't figure out how to register, duh, I'm just and old Mom!.
Anyway we were glad to meet you the other night and really happy to see you on you way on Tuesday. We did 50 miles, only a fraction of what you'll be doing. We'll keep and eye on you and wish you a great a safe ride. Dave and Jodee Thompson
