You can just see her to the left of the road sign, and the small RV in which she's traveling with her parents to the right of the picture. I never found out her name. As I was approaching the summit of the pass she seemed to see me and turned and jogged back to the camper. A minute later, as I was stopping, she came walking back with something in her hands. Suddenly she raised up what she had- two cans of Coke. I smiled.
She gave me both cans and asked about my trip. When I told her I thought I was at the highest elevation, she got excited and said we had to get a picture. I showed her how to use the camera and she took a few pictures because, she said, it was important.
We talked for about 15 minutes. She's probably in her early 30s, and she's originally from Germany. She spent the past couple of years living in Boston, and now she's showing her parents the country. She bikes some. She was very sweet. Her father beeped the horn finally, and she wished me luck, and was gone.
All that said, I didn't get her name or a better picture of her. But, after I struggled a lot coming over this pass, she appeared, and I will always remember her.
