Potpourri

Just some random stuff:

The night I stayed in the campground on the lake some 20-something Polacks were playing volleyball at 4:30 in the morning. How do I know they were Polish? ''Yden, dva!''
Transaltion of score: 1 to 2.

The rumble strips in New York, and Washington, are cut a few inches off the the shoulder line, and mostly continuous.
The rumble strips in Montana are cut every 20 yards... all the way across the shoulder. Every two seconds for more than 75 miles- brrrrrrrrmp.

I stopped twice today (Day10) to help broken-down motor vehicles. Well, I intended to help. The first was a trailer with a flat. The guy had no lug wrench. Neither did I, I told him. The second guy thought he ran out of gas. As I looked up an emergency number for him, he went and started the car. He guessed it was okay now.
Both of these stranded motorists beeped as they later went by. You're welcome.

I don't see much roadkill. If I do it's usually a bird. Sort of ironic.
