Yes, it's July 4th. But I didn't take this picture to be patriotic.
Takes a pretty strong wind to wave a flag that big...
I might have been happily whistling "You're a Grand Old Flag" if I had been heading left in this picture. I wasn't.
Like the two previous days, Maine continued to be hilly as well as windy. I've ascended 5900 feet over the past three days, and I'm still only about 40 feet above sea level. (5900 feet is almost 4 1/2 World Trade Centers high (pre-9/11)).
All in all a good day. Sunny and foggy on and off. 75 more miles closer to Key West. Still enjoying Maine's beauty.
