It's late, and I'm laying in my tent. Late in the day I was fantasizing about getting to a motel to decompress. That didn't happen. It's my own fault for assuming I could find a place without reserving. Ellsworth seemed to have lots of lodging, so I didn't worry. What I didn't notice until I got into Ellsworth was that it's directly north of Bar Harbor, one of the hubs of activity in the summer. It's easy to stay here and motor down to Acadia-- 20 miles.
Anyway. I've already written more here than I have the energy to, so I'll sum up today in a few words until I can write more.
Lighthouse, beach, sun, retired teachers on tandem, hills, wind, hills, wind, hills, wind, walking bike barefoot, camping, stealing electricity. Good enough. Sleep now.
